Devil Gundam: Detailing Scratch Build Knee [Leg Modification - Part 66]

Hi guys!

Today I will clean up yesterday's work and add the last pla plates on the top of the knee. So here are updates on Project Devil Gundam!

This the progress so far with the new articulation for the leg. Everything is slowly coming together and I like how the mechanism looks like so far. They aren't just for decoration and with this sort of mechanism I'm pretty sure I can come up with an awesome pose for the diorama later.

After leaving the cement cure overnight I can clean up the excess then start reshaping the pla plate on top of the knee. Using file I slowly trim the pla plate at an angle following the shape of the knee.

After both knee have been cleaned up and reshaped I can move onto the adding the last pla plates for the knee. The shape is almost identical, I just play around with the length of the pla plates. I simply cement the pla plates as close as I can get to the edges.

While leaving the cement to cure overnight I test fit the knee which is almost finished.

All I have to do tomorrow is clean up the excess cement and file down the pla plate in the other direction.

Then do a couple of test fits before starting the next modification which is going to be connecting the knee and the bottom leg.

I already have a plan in mind for this but I will wait until the knee is complete. And so this is my updates for today on this Devil Gundam x Neue Ziel Project.
