Progress on Left Thigh
Since the c-joint I made yesterday was working great I will do the same to the other knee and thigh.
However, I will test the c-joint several times later because at the moment I haven't covered the thigh.
So it is very easy to slide the knee to the connectors without really using the c-joint.
But I notice if I keep doing so stress marks starts to appear on the thigh since it is only a pla plate and I have to slightly bent the thigh to slide the knee to the connectors.

Progress Test Fit
Next is a progress test fit between the waist and the thigh with the new c-joint.
Later after I file the edges of the connectors the gaps shouldn't be visible anymore. At this point I will let the cement cure first overnight before test fitting it with the knee.
And while waiting for the cement to dry I will start detailing the knee.

Plans and Pla Plating
It's been quite a while since I detail anything so I really want to try a few methods I found when I was browsing through twitter. Also, doing a lot of scratch building gives me a lot of ideas on how to do detailing.
For this one I will use pla plate to break the monotone surface on the side of the knee. I simply follow the shape of edge there and remove it by a couple of millimeters.
Also, I will create new panel lines that will compliment the pla plate. I prefer a simple design that is not overcrowded.

Plans and Panel Lines
Next I will add more panel lines on top of the knee and pla plates which will be at an angle when completed. The idea of adding pla plate at an angle is simple. I start with one plane (fancier word for surface) then file down at an angle later before adding the other pla plate.
I will show some picture so make it easier to understand. I will also play with different sizes of panel lines. And so this is my updates for today on this Devil Gundam x Neue Ziel Project.
