Happy Thursday! I hope everyone has a great day. I know it's still a working day, so let's work hard! Today I want to discuss the new interior design of my office. Well, I've worked in this office for almost twelve years and this is the first time the office has been renovated. In fact, since it opened in 2010, this office has never been renovated at all. And not everything was renovated, only the top floor was renovated. By the way my office has two floors. Because we didn't have enough space to move temporarily, the renovation process was gradual. The first stage, which I will discuss now, is the front office.
From the front of the office, it looks bright inside the office. Then to the receptionist area, the table is made long. Previously the receptionist desk was not that long. Because this has just finished renovation, it's still a bit messy. Then behind the receptionist, the wall is designed to look like there is green grass and there are small lights. The design of the top has also changed, I mean the ceiling. Actually it's a bit difficult for me to explain because there are no photos before the renovation, but I hope you understand what I'm saying, hehehe...
Then the two photos above are the front of the receptionist desk. So, this includes the receptionist area. Previously there was also a long sofa like that, but it was plain. This time, there are plants on each sofa divider. Of course, this plant is not a real one, but a plastic plant. And as for paintings, they have been there since before the renovation.
Next is the cashier area. You must be wondering why there is a cashier in the office area. Before continuing to discuss interior design, I will explain a little about my office. So, I worked in management at a mall located in South Jakarta. Therefore there is a cashier in the office. This cashier is a place for paying tenant rent and other things. OK, let's go back to interior design. The small colorful sofas are for people waiting in line to pay at the cashier or we could call it a waiting room. Previously the chairs in this area were all black. In this area they also added shades of green grass too. I think the cashier area and waiting room have changed one hundred percent.
Next, the living room is usually used for meetings with clients. I can also be called a meeting room even though it is an open room. Actually, for meeting rooms, we have a special room for meetings. I'll discuss it later after this. This open meeting room is usually for meetings with a small number of clients. Before the renovation, the design was very boring. It's just like a room divided by glass. But now the design is better and unique. For this section, everything was overhauled one hundred percent, from the floor to the furniture such as tables and chairs.
If on the right there is a meeting room, then on the left is the work room of one of the departments. Inside the room was not renovated, only the outside was made to look like the photo above. Previously the walls were just plain, but now they are more colorful and Instagrammable. This is the employees' favorite spot when taking photos.
Then for the meeting room that I mentioned earlier, it was made full of glass. Previously there was a lot of glass, but not as full as now. The two photos above are the first meeting room before it was 100 percent finished. Then the third photo is the second meeting room which is still not finished. That's a photo I took some time before finishing work. The two photos below are the final results.
The interior of meeting room one has also changed completely. Starting from the floor which previously used carpet, now the floor uses other materials such as paper. Then the windows were also overhauled to be wider and full of glass. Then the furniture in meeting room one, such as tables and chairs, was all replaced. Apart from that, the size of the first meeting room has also been made wider. Previously there were three closed meeting rooms but now there are only two rooms. Two meeting rooms are temporarily used as the director's work space, because her room is being renovated. So for photos in the meeting room, I only took photos from one meeting room.
Then the last one is the pantry. Actually, our office has two pantries, because our office has two floors. This one is a pantry located on the top floor. It is located right in front of meeting room two. Actually, this is not our main pantry, it is only used to prepare drinks for guests. The interior design of this pantry has also been completely changed. Everything was replaced from the floor, sink, to cupboards. I like the minimalist design of the pantry.
I love the overall new interior design of our office. Everything was designed by our interior designer, but for the work we hired vendors. However, I was a little disappointed with the results, not with the design results but with the choice of materials. They choose materials that are not good. But it can't be helped, I'm just an employee who doesn't have the power to give input and they certainly understand better because that's their line of work.
