The universe doesn't care about fairness at all, as it is 100% carefree about everything.

Someone once told me when I was young. "I don't care what you do in life, but always try to find the higher ground so that you remain untouchable and people below won't drag you down". If we expect fairness from the society and the world, we are not going to be in good situation. Stay on higher ground and in safe place and you'd not need to expect fairness from the world.
