No matter how much of a prick he is, he always seems to land on his feet, benefiting whilst those who are better people than himself, suffer.

I think there is also that they have got only luck. I know many people who have got luck but not the results. Like they do survive the bullet but they dont have happy life, relationship. They just get lucky with bare minimum. Which kind of is the case for many people. But for them random luck works.
