I feel a lot of life that spent paying off the loan is kind of wasted. Unless you are in tech or SAAS there would be harder to pay off larger loan. But I feel that if one builds from ground up and often takes loan for each part of the house, in slow and steady way, it won't bite much. But buying the studio apartment in cities and paying off loan till old age sounds like disaster now to me.
