I also feel that some of the time more you study and more you become intellectual, less satisfied you are with the life unless ofcourse you are intellectual and earning more. Like SAAS companies who pay 100K or so as salary in industry, you need that much income to remain intellectual or happy. Otherwise both society and people around you would drag you down and make it harder for you to live. Intellectuallism suits only when you marry it with money.

I see a lot of couples struggle on these points.Men marry less intellectual spouse and often are happy because it becomes manageable product. Women suffer more if they marry another less intellectual person, it's kind of hit and miss for them.
