I am kind of mixed Tribe person. I am more of niche type. Like I do mostly technical content and reviews. I feel being niche specific helps a lot. But you are right on tribe part. More people from the tribe knows you then it becomes easier. End goal for me is the staking. More I stake, less I have to hustle. Reaching that point is the goal :)
