I think cooking, programming, diy type of the stuff works well for paywall because keeping such personal content openly often means you are not going to monetize your efforts. Because it takes more years to thrive on hive than on instagram, so monetizing is reasonable from content creator perspective. It may sound evil for consumers but it is what it is.
