I spend a lot of free time on quora. And that has served me really well. Some of the actions that I have spent on the quora has given me traffic. And some of the clients for the development work also spent on such places too. So it kind of worked out for the development.
Another action we can think of is that promoting such type of the work is much better too. You have to find out right amount of the people who can like your answer and then get them to do your bidding and get them to get you answer.
Think about this. Yahoo answers used to be that top traffic resource which used to give some really good traffic and people used to get the linsk on it. So if the clicks happen that would bring them some amount of the traffic to the work.
Like this I have made some really good links on the quora. My objective was to get the users to the quora and also if things managed properly it could bring some good traffic turn into some valuable output. It can be pretty good amount give you leads and that would be something you as a developer would want.
As you can see from the stats, I am getting comments, upvotes and the shares. But the thing is that those are coming for the non developer work. And that means we have to find out if we can make the content specific to the development and this should bring in some value as well. So I feel that I need to write more development work.
My learning so far has been that you have to pick one topic and then keep on posting the work. This would be something that would bring the work. I know I need to learn on variety of methods to bring some of the developer traffic and then move that towards the youtube. But my content has been really low.
I have to learn how to get the traffic into the Quora. And then move that to the youtube and other properties of mine. So if things work out that would not be that hard. Let's hope that I crack this and get some regular traffic.
