I have three products on Etsy and it is kind of slow and steady working out for me. I need to speed things up. And also make sure to earn in such a way that it would give me some results. So far I am kind of struggling on promotion, marketing and the ads.
If you consider the ads and the marketing part, some of those would be giving you a good set of results. It can be pretty cool on the part where the research would be the case that I have to do in order to earn more from products that I can create. So this post is mostly about those things.
The type of products I can't do are listed below.
I have not much understanding of the handmade products. Like say if you were to do some of those product son your own, you would have to keep doing things in regular basis. Something you can't do that easily if you ask me. Like doing those bags which are handmade is hard work. And I don't want to import chinese items and ship as something I made, that would be a lie.
I am kind of limited into the product approach. like say if you have plans for the design based anything, it would take a lot of my time. I need to find out means to do those products which has minimal desing and the art. Because that would take more time and I don't know what could sell and what not woould be selling.
Now this one is tricky. Like say some of the physical products are good selling. And some of the other would not so good at selling. So one has to be really understanding of what to sell without having to go through the hustle of variety of those physical products which are kind of painful too.
So I am in kind of dilemma that I need to find out some of the products which I can compete with and make sure to send them. Because that would be something I have to plan out for years. And then regularly update the listing and make money out of the same.
Etsy does not earn you by hours. And also there seems to be no earning on regular basis. So that kind of makes the life a bit of difficult on the note of the product research. So if we consider that as a life long plan that would be harder to work around with the same too.
