ChatGPT has been getting a lot of criticism on it's capacity to give some sort of illusion that it can do everything. In reality it cant do everything. In fact it makes use of a lot of things that gives it a result set to show to people.
So today I want to discuss how the ChatGPT is not really a replacement for the Google. And for any search engine for that matter. In short, ChatGPT has some limitations, for now.
ChatGPT takes data out of the Google, Bing and other crawlers. And it makes use of that crawling to show you answer. In that case it is fast and it does the work for you which google can't do at this time. However this opens up a set of the limitations that would change a lot of things.
Google collects alot of personalized data. Like say IP address and based on that it kind of creates the profile system. Like say you are accessing this content, google would learn about it and in near future it would show you the content that matches like that.
In short, Google is not dependent on the ChatGPT but on the other hand the ChatGPT API. In short the content that we can get out of the API kind of makes things a bit more interesting with the personal profiling. So in near future we would be seeing the chatGPT taking our data.
ChatGPT does not have 10 years of the data. But google has it. In short it is kind of calculating the design patterns of the search queries. And based on that they can predict the search results of the person as they are spying on them.
And so much data that we have with the Google in the hands that govt all around the world is chasing google to not store such data. And we all know that they are not going to stop at this point and we have to think of the danger.
In short, Google is very powerful beast now. But the ChatGPT has to catch up on the years. And based on their makers interview, they seem to be keeping things in the check and not going to make it strong like the Google.
