In this post, we learn How to Use REPT Function in Google Sheets. Previously we have checked how to use MAKEARRAY function in Google Sheets. We learned how to use MAKEARRAY and it was one of the good explanation for anyone who wanted to learn the same.
Now for this tutorial I wish to give you the REPT function that is available in Excel, Google Sheets and also other spreadsheet explanation. Below you would find the text based explanation and also there is a video that explains how the REPT function works.
Let's take a look at one of the tutorial where you can learn how to use REPT function in Google Sheets.
Let's create a spreadsheet with the Google Sheets.
Now let's add some items in the left hand column where we want some words to be added. And then we want to repeat those word to the right in the another column.
It has a power to repeat the formula once it understands how to for the rest of the columns. And it can be seen in that context for us to view as well. So what should be the formula for doing this to work for you.
Try the below REPT function.
= REPT(A2,B2)
Now you can drag the slider from the result view all the way down so that it would work. I can tell you from my experience that it does work in that case. And also it can be pretty cool to see how the results set work in this case.
Now this is not the only way this can work out. You can also use to output certain numbers appeared in another column and print it out. It would also work in that case. So you can use it to extract and show the content that is available for you to work with there.
Like say you want to show the * symbol in the output in that case the formula would be something different for you to work with. I can show you how you can make use of that in order to output for yourself.
=REPT("*", B2)
That is just an example here. You can see there are some of the time it can get pretty difficult in terms of the complex output that we often seek here. Some of the time it means people can use it in variety of ways and it can give you some good output too.
I have been doing some really good tutorials with the Google Sheets. I have made another channel and some of the really good tutorials on google sheet, notion and the other tools would be listed there. I hope to add as much as possible but it does take a time for these to properly work around with and hopefully if I continue at this pace it can bring me some good tutorials by the year end.
If you happen to like my content, please do share, like and comment. All of this would help me in terms of the algorithm and it would bring me some traffic to get noticed. I have been getting some really slow output these days, so hoping that with time i can have enough to get around.
I'll add more spreadsheet tutorial by the next week Wednesday. :)
