The tutorial was about the function where we check if the two values being equal given a specific condition. And now we make use of the BIN2DEC function here, so if you are interested in function that converts the binary to decimal then check this one out.
Where do we make use of the BIN2DEC function? Most of the time this has been used in the data analysis. Some of the values that are required for plotting can be used with the BIN2DEC as well. So that's another use case. It can help do the efficent mathematical calculation as well. So if you happen to be making use of some of such use cases then the below tutorial would be of use to you. In this spreadsheet, make sure to either get some binary values that you can make use for the sake of the tutorial. If not just follow the tutorial here.
First example, Check the following binary number which is 3 but we write it like this - 0011. Now let's make use of the function.
BIN2DEC(0011)
Second example, check the following binary number which is 1111 which should result into the -1. And so for that let's try out again.
BIN2DEC(1111)
And now the third example, check the following number which should give you 1010. And that should give the output. 10
BIN2DEC(1010)
So how does it work, use the 1 in the 8421 that's easy way to see this. And you can also check the below reference image for you to try out the above examples too.
That's it. We have learned how to make use of the BIN2DEC and using that we are trying to manage the signed binary number into the decimal format. This should make things easier for you as you keep working along the same. I can tell you from the examples above that you can even go ahead and dig up some of the other formats for which you can get the hex and also the binary combination.
