This is my 4th post in the series of teaching game development to kids. You can check out the first post and second and third post the series.
In previous post, I explained how to add the background image into the GDevelop scene. I am sure by now you have learned how to make the typical game background with various colors and the image backgrounds.
Kids love fancy backgrounds so the previous tutorial was pretty handy. I noticed that on my channel I got the notification asking for the addition of the sprite into the scene. So let's take a look at the next tutorial in the series where we learn how to add sprite into the scene of Gdevelop project.

Follow the instructions below to learn how to add sprite in scene.
Most of the game developers who make the free games are often confused where to find the sprites. You can take a look at some of the following websites for creating the sprites.
You can also check out the Video instruction of the tutorial.
Everything you do in your games, you need various types of the graphics. Sprites are your characters, backgrounds and also the other elements in the game. Mobile, Web and the other console games, all of them require the sprites. You may notice that more graphically rich sprites require you to pay premium price for the same.
A lot of free sites exists where you can find the sprite art. I'd recommend you to check above mentioned resources and see which one applies your games context. And for kids I recommend sticking with the free assets for the games that are out there.
In next tutorial, I will be completing the scroll of various types. So we will first cover the horizontal scroll and then we may add the vertical scroll to the game later. I hope you have learned the current tutorial and you can test out this lesson with kids in your class.
We will continue the further game development topic in next post.
