Data & Design Community - FAQ and Rules

Last week I decided to make a call on creating community "Data & Design" for myself and few other friends who are into data, data science and database, User Experience, Designer profession who often get their content ignored in other communities. This community will serve members who are into the jobs or profession or business that relates to data.

So I decided to make few rules which you should follow if you wish to post content here.

1. We follow manual curation (when we are active).
2. No plagiarism. No illegal content.
3. No NSFW content. No propaganda. No social justice content. No memes.
4. Avoid cross post. It's hard to keep up with a lot of content in feed as it is.
5. Make sure your posts are in English only.

Now that rules are out open and clear. Let me answer some of your question.

What type of content I should post in this community?

Focus more on the tutorials, video tutorial, guide etc. You can include tutorial or content specific to CSS, Design, Web Design and data, database and data science. You can include posts related to frontend and backend as long as those contain data or database reference. Yes you can post your front end development content even if it is not related to data as long as it provides some value.

You can post about -

1. Data (excel, sql and any data analysis and it's respective tools)
2. Open source (data, tools, libraries etc)
3. crypto data, dApps and related tech.
4. software and tech related to data.
5. CSS
6. Web Design
7. User Experience
8. User Interface

Use "datadev" or "DataDev" or "Designdev" or "datadesign" as your tags so that I can find you.

Please give me an example of what type of data related content.

So to help you get started with community here are some topics for you to start with.

1. Excel, Airtable, Tableau, R, Python etc.
2. Sql, MySQL, Postgresql, Mongodb, Neo4j etc.
3. Tools like Oracle, Salesforce, Git etc.
4. CSS, Codepen tutorial etc.

I hope now you got the idea of what type of data and tools that you can learn here and write about here.

Few things to clear.

1. We have no interest to make the coin for this community.
2. Unless I get mods for language moderation, we can't offer posts other than English here.
3. Cross posts are avoided to save our time from filtering the spam content.
4. Upvotes would depend on manual curation for quality and ofcourse our active time online.
