You can't run your business all by yourself. Especially if you're growing and expanding. It's almost impossible to do it all by yourself, you need to employ the labour of other people to help you. You know that, no man is an island. Even if you're all determined to run it by yourself, you'll get exhausted at a point. Especially if your demand is steadily increasing.
We all need people in our lives. I've heard several billionaires and very wealthy men say that all the money will be useless if they had no one to spend it on. If they had no company, no friend, no family. This is an obvious truth, because if you think about it, it could become really boring spending all your money on just yourself.
Now that we've established the fact that we all need people. And in your business, you need people as well. The more important thing is finding good and capable people to bring into your life, for a specific purpose. Be it an employee or a life partner or an associate, you need good people that you can trust in their integrity and their ability to deliver on the job. I'll say find good people that you can trust, but still, don't trust them completely. There is no one way of knowing if a person is good or bad, but you get these feelings in your gut. Go with your instinct.
A business, a company is just a group of people that you gather together, that you select and employ to work with you to achieve a common goal, one vision, that is, the vision that you have for your company. These people must have good qualities, and that's why you select them to work with you or for you.
Originally, you should be thinking of finding people that are smarter than you. But if you're very smart, that might be difficult, because there are not many truly smart people in the world. But if you can rigorously search for people that are as smart as your self, assuming that you are smart or better still people that are smarter, then your business will most likely thrive. This is because the quality of the people behind the business goes a long way to determine the growth of that business.
Just the same way good people and smart people can help your business grow. Bad people and lazy people can pull down your business. Just one bad person can contaminate the minds of many of your good workers. If you ever notice such people, be extremely quick in letting them go. You don't waste no time in doing that. Even good people do bad things sometimes, so don't trust blindly, keep your eyes open. Have trust worthy people, but don't trust them completely.
