The morning of May 10,2019 was quite special for me as I had to go on an exciting and thrilling journey through the jig-jag roads of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh in the North India.

The place I was going to explore is known as Beral that is by and large an unexplored location lying at the farthest point of Solan. Beral is at a distance of about 100 km from Shimla, the capital of Himachal in North India.

It was at about 8 AM in the morning that I set out on my journey towards Beral. Though I was quite excited about my excursion but hardly did I know that it would turn out to be an adventurous and unforgettable outing for me. I had heard about Beral from some of my friends but I had never got a chance to visit that wonderful place.

Another advantage was that I had to travel through Bagga and Mangal, another places famous for their exemplary scenic charm and captivating natural beauty. I left for my destination with my friends and right now when I am writing this blog, I can say for sure that this journey has left an indelible impression on my mind mainly because of the eye-catchy and engaging sights I saw while moving through the seemingly tough but captivating locations.

While on our way to Beral, we stopped for having tea at Bagga that is another beautiful place offering panoramic view of hills, valleys and a big lake. While standing on the balcony of the restaurant where I had warm tea, I was so captivated by the scenic charm overlooking the restaurant that I couldn't resist the desire to capture the view for my viewers of steemit.

The labyrinthine lake with fields and mountains on both sides will fascinate even the stone-hearted.

Having feasted my eyes upon the serpentine lake, I moved ahead towards my destination. The road through which we traversed was quite narrow and a person with faint-heart will surely have a tough time while going through the mountainous terrain.

After about half an hour, we reached a small village known as Kandhar. The village is located at the lowest point of the mountains that surround it from all sides. It is without any doubt a fascinating place of unparalleled scenic charm.

Beral was still 12 km from here but now we had to travel through the road that goes first up to the mountain top and from there it goes further down to the bottom of the other side of the mountain.

It was not at all an easy drive as the driver of our vehicle drove quite cautiously and slowly through the serpentine roads first to the top of the mountain and then to the bottom of the other side of the mountain.

While moving downwards through the zig-zag road and still about 5 km away from out destination, we stopped for a vehicle to feast our eyes upon the tempting view of the lake with tall mountains by its side.
Without losing any time, I clicked a few more pics and they will give you an idea of the beauty of the location. See for yourself:

We reached Beral at about 1:30 PM. Here it is important to note that Beral is a small village consisting of merely 32 families and the population of this small but excessively beautiful village is not more than 200.

People living in this heavenly village lead a simple life in the proximity of nature far away from the trials and tribulations of cities. Their main source of livelihood is agriculture and the land here looked quite fertile and productive. They must be living simple but prosperous and fulfilling lives.

Many of us may find the lives of these villagers to be quite difficult and tough given the kind of terrain they live in. But they are more blessed than majority of the people living in cities as nature is in its purest form here.

Early in the morning these villagers are woken up by the chirruping of the birds and when they step out of the house, the fresh air and lush green fields and tall mountains refresh their mind and heart. This is something which people living in cities are not blessed with.

Having stayed there for about an hour and having had our fill of the fascinating view all around, we thought of moving back. Before getting into the vehicle I captured a few more pictures of this wonderful place.

Sitting inside the vehicle I kept thinking of the unparalleled natural beauty of this place and I kept wondering how difficult I must have been for the villagers to go to the nearest town or city for buying items of day-to-day use, though deep inside my heart I knew that they are more blessed than us as they live at a place where the evils like pollution, excessive construction of buildings and industrialization have not reached as yet.

I was sure that people here must be leading far happier and more fulfilling lives than most of us who live amidst the stress, noise and pollution of cities.

It was indeed a memorable journey and I reached home with a treasure of memories that I will cherish for a long long time to come.

Thanks a ton to all steemians !!!!!

Be happy and protect nature !!!!!!!
