Hello everyone! Today I'm back with more pictures, but this time of Melbourne for a change. Last year at around this time (I believe it was June or July) I visited Melbourne for a week. For me, Melbourne represents a city filled with art and culture, a city that has a very strong personality. I think I can safely say it's one of my favourite cities in the world with no hesitation.
It's home to around 4.5 million people, and is filled with art, different cultures (one of my favourite things in a city!) and many different foods (from all over the world!). Trams run through the city centre as the main form of transportation (which in itself I think is so cool and unique! Instead of buses or trains... Which are also there, trams are the main form of transport in the CBD).
All images were taken on a Canon 400d.
The Yarra River starts my post today. The river banks are filled with street performers and restaurants and even flame vents that ignite on the hour. Such a great place for a nighttime stroll if you live in the city.
One of the things which to me makes Melbourne awesome is the street art which fills many of the alleyways. Melbourne truly is an artistic city, with art nearly everywhere you go.
Chinatown at nighttime!
Skyscrapers across the Yarra River. Melbourne is very similar to many New Zealand cities in that it is very green and is surrounded by a lot of nature, while still being the home to many many people.
A view of the city from the Anzac memorial.
And finally an image of the tram lines running down one of the main city streets. I believe these trams are also free, but I am not certain.
I hope you enjoyed browsing some of my images! And I hope you all get the chance to visit Melbourne someday :D
