Hey everyone! Although I made an introduce myself post a while back I didn't really post any images of myself due to my usual want for privacy (I never post pictures of myself on Facebook unless they have someone else in too, and usually I just post the images I do because other people want to tag me in them), and I came to Steemit with that approach too. However, after being here a few weeks I feel much more comfortable with the community here and I want to share some images of myself that I have taken on my travels! (I couldn't think of where to put this other than introduce yourself :/ Sorry to post here twice!)
Here is a link to my original post that has a bit more about me... This post is mainly just for images. https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@devi1714/living-life-in-seoul
Being an (amateur) photographer I love to try and put a unique spin on my photos to differ them from other people's, and these are some of the images I am most proud of! Nearly all of them were taken by myself (with a tripod for some) and two were taken by family members of mine.
To everyone that has followed me or supported me in anyway already, thank you so much for the support. I am loving my time on Steemit so far and I look forward to more great experiences and interactions in the future!
Up Mount Ruapehu, featuring the amazing landscape of New Zealand in the background. I think that I have a very strong sense of adventure, and I think that this image represents that to me. I love to explore and adventure... To places I haven't been before, or even to do things no one has done before (If I ever get the chance!).
Taken on the coastal walkway in my hometown of New Plymouth, New Zealand. There is a giant metal sculpture which makes for some very odd and interesting reflections on different angles of metal. It's almost like two of me exist sometimes! A happy and fun me, and a very serious and strong willed version of me. Although I always try to be positive and happy it can be hard at times, and recently with a lot of stress it feels like there's more and more of the serious me.
An image taken in the reflection of an art exhibit on Waiheke Island (Auckland, New Zealand). I try to take creative images of myself! I really spend a lot of time trying to get the perfect profile images. I love the mix of nature and (technology/urbanisation/modernism) that exists in New Zealand, and I think it is also one of the reasons I love Seoul so much. The ability to be able to experience both of these aspects of life at the same time is incredible.
My current Steemit profile picture! taken at Tongaporutu beach, New Zealand. I really love jumping pictures for some reason.. Although I love trying to get creative images I am stuck to this pose haha. Freedom!
Another image taken at the beach in New Zealand. This took me many tries to get right, but in the end I am happy with the result. Both this and the next image I took with my tripod and I really wanted to try and display a person's individuality and uniqueness in a world filled with billions of others. Further, I wanted to show the feeling of being alone in such a large world which I know all of us feel sometimes!
Another image featuring the beautiful New Zealand nature! This one was from the national park around Mount Ruapehu and was on the track to an amazing waterfall. (If you notice I wear my university jacket too much... It's in so many of my photos...).
And finally a more 'generic' image of myself! I wanted to include something a bit normal in here too. This was taken at Butterfly Creek butterfly house in Auckland. When I went back to New Zealand I really wanted to visit here just to take pictures of all the butterflies that I usually can't see in Seoul (I haven't been able to find a butterfly house here yet :( ). As you can probably tell by my expression.. I love this place! I love being able to go somewhere either alone or with good company and being able to do what I love... Take photos!
I am really hoping to be able to find some models (just anyone who wants some pictures of them taken!) sometime so I can stop taking photos of myself and instead try with other people haha. In the meantime though I am having a great time being creative with simply a tripod and my own modelling (as terrible as it is!).
Thank you all for reading my post and I hope that you enjoyed my pictures (or maybe even provided inspiration!). I would love to hear any feedback that you have to provide too! Please also feel free to upvote and follow for more :)
If anyone in Seoul wants some photos taken please feel free to message me, I would love to help out!
Hope you all have a great day/night!
