I posted my first every animated 8 bit art yesterday (Check it out here!). Which was a commission I made for a friend of mine. The character I made there can be seen on the quick comic above, she's the chef girl carrying a food tray.
Now, I decided to make another one by simply editing the layers of the original animation. However, I improved it a lot by doubling the frames from the original animation and adding some effects here and there, like the following:
More frames for more fluid motion
Changed the speech bubbles animation
Added a bit of animation on certain steps when walking
Added a jumping animation after speaking
Synced the mouth movement when speaking
Improved hat and hand animation esp when jumping
Added a 'splash' when he landed after the jump
The new version is a boy holding a Gundam on his hand and saying in Filipino "May Gundam ako" which translates to "I have a Gundam".
I decided to make a quick parody by adding a backdrop and changing the thing he's holding in his hands:
This version has a Jollibee restaurant as a background and foreground (where the character enters after speaking). He's also holding a McDonald's Happy Meal box on his hands and is saying "Tara Jollibee tayo" which means "Let's go to Jollibee", while HOLDING A MCDO object in his hands (which is why I call it a parody because those two are rivals here in the Philippines).
