Already in 2012, light field photography arrived in the consumer market. At that time, the start-up Lytro brought out such a camera. With the help of light field photography blurred photos should be a thing of the past. The company K-Lens pursues this idea now and wants to place this technology in an interchangeable lens. Like a kaleidoscope, different perspectives of the same motif are generated. After that, they are simultaneously projected onto the camera sensor.

A prototype will be developed by the end of the year and a commercial product will be launched in 2019. Initially only as a camera without video function. It is optimized for cameras with full sensor and should weigh about 800g. Further steps are the implementation of a video function with the possibility to film 3D recordings and to "cut out" persons without a green screen.
