Great Strategy Game!
One of my favorite parts of Steems Monsters is creating and testing a strategy.
It is fun to collect the cards, but you cannot win unless you ...
- wisely choose the placement of your cards
- select cards that complete the strengths and weaknesses of the entire team.
Leveling Up!
And as you battle stronger opponents, you will most likely need to level up to remain competitive. The mana cost for a specific card is the same regardless of the level of that card.
So playing playing a level 1 Golden Dragon costs the same as playing a level 4 Golden Dragon - 7 Manna. But as you can see, the extra stats and ablities give you more bang for your buck.

The following is some advice for people who are just entering the Steems Monsters Battle Arena.
- Keep your Steem keys safe - If you lose or misplace your Steem keys, you will not be able to login to Steems Monsters or any of the other Steem related websites. Treat your keys like you would your credit card number or SSN.
- Make a budget - Know how much you are willing to invest in the game and stick to that amount. It is easy to get carried away and make large purchases, even when you shouldn't.
- Practice first - Play around with practice mode when testing out a new combination of cards. That way your ranking is not impacted.
- Play ranked games to earn reward packs - As you win more battles and enter higher leagues, you will be rewarded with packs of cards. Use these cards to build your team.
- Know the difference between Alpha and Beta - The current version of booster packs available for purchase at Steems Monsters is Beta. The Market offers Alpha, Beta, and Promo cards.
- It takes more Beta cards to level up .
- Beta cards usually cost less than Alpha counterparts.
- Alpha and Beta cards cannot be used together to level up.
- Make strategic purchases - When it is advantageous for your battle strategy, go the Steems Monsters Market and purchase cards that can help you achieve victory.
