The first time I heard Bob Marley's music way back in the mid 80ties, I was immediately captivated by the unique sounds of reggae. This genre, which Marley significantly shaped, is a blend of ska, rocksteady, and traditional Jamaican rhythms. Reggae is characterized by its relaxed yet powerful rhythm, often accompanied by profound lyrics. Marley's music was not just entertainment; it was a means to spread social and political messages. His songs spoke of freedom, justice, and love, inspiring people worldwide.

We where dancing a lot to this music and it rhytms at the former "temples" of reggae music in Germany.

Bob Marley was born on February 6, 1945, in Nine Mile, a small village in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica. Jamaica, a country with a rich cultural history and a deep connection to music, was the perfect breeding ground for Marley's talents. Many of this are still available within my old record collection from that times beeing a "vinyl DJ" back in time.
