Why haven't I watched this movie for years? You understand Batman's existence, purpose and everything with this movie. The movie is so beautifully rendered. You stick to that chair until the end.
The main pros of this movie are; it was very close to reality, atmosphere and acting. By reality, I mean, fantastic events and characters were avoided as much as possible, and Gotham was like the cities we live in, except for a few details.
It is a 2005 superhero movie. The movie is the first installment in the Dark Knight trilogy and serves as a reboot of the Batman movie franchise.
The plot of Batman Begins follows Bruce Wayne, a billionaire playboy and philanthropist who witnesses the murder of his parents at a young age. Traumatized by the event, Wayne spends his adolescence and early adulthood traveling the world and training in various forms of martial arts and criminal psychology, in order to fight crime and avenge his parents' deaths.
Upon his return to Gotham City, Wayne discovers that the city is overrun with corruption and crime, and decides to don the mantle of Batman to fight against the city's criminal underworld. With the help of his butler Alfred Pennyworth and a young police officer named Jim Gordon, Wayne must confront the city's most dangerous criminals, including the menacing Ra's al Ghul and the crazed psychiatrist Dr. Jonathan Crane.
One of the standout aspects of Batman Begins is its strong cast. Christian Bale delivers a powerful performance as Bruce Wayne/Batman, perfectly capturing the character's inner turmoil and determination. Michael Caine also stands out as Alfred Pennyworth, bringing a sense of warmth and wisdom to the role. The supporting cast is equally strong, with great performances from Liam Neeson as Ra's al Ghul, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, and Cillian Murphy as Dr. Jonathan Crane.
Another highlight of the film is its impressive visuals and action scenes. The fight choreography is top-notch, and the use of special effects is seamless and adds to the film's overall intensity. The film also has a darker and more grounded tone than previous Batman films, giving it a sense of realism and weight.
Batman Begins is a fantastic start to the Dark Knight trilogy. Its strong performances, impressive action, and dark tone make it a must-see for fans of the superhero genre. It successfully reboots the Batman franchise and sets the stage for the even more thrilling sequels that follow.
The beginning of Batman, the greatest superhero in movie history. It was much more than just any action movie. Enough of his philosophy. Fighting criminals at the risk of death without any personal gain, sacrificing oneself to achieve justice instead of taking revenge. Batman is a true superhero. He is also one of us. I watched with admiration.
