Hace apenas dos semanas, me vi motivado a descargar un juego para el celular, algo que nunca antes había hecho. Siempre me he mantenido alejado de los videojuegos móviles, pero las largas esperas durante mis diligencias me impulsaron a buscar una forma de entretenerme. Entre la amplia variedad de opciones disponibles en la tienda de aplicaciones, elegí Pokémon GO.

Just two weeks ago, I was motivated to download a game for my cell phone, something I had never done before. It always kept me away from mobile video games, but the long waits during my errands prompted me to look for a way to entertain myself. La premisa del juego me cautivó de inmediato: explorar la ciudad para desbloquear nuevos puntos y capturar a los adorables Pokémon. Si bien nunca he sido un fanático de la franquicia, ni siquiera conozco más allá del icónico Pikachu, la mecánica del juego me resultó sumamente atractiva. Sin necesidad de conocimientos previos, solo basta con tomar el celular y embarcarse en una aventura por los alrededores.

Although I have never been a fan of the franchise, I don't even know beyond the iconic Pikachu, I found the game mechanics extremely attractive. En mi caso, Pokémon GO ha convertido el simple hecho de caminar en una aventura llena de sorpresas. Me encuentro constantemente buscando lugares de interés para visitar y así mejorar mi nivel dentro del juego. Si bien aún soy un jugador relativamente nuevo y mi nivel es bajo, las últimas semanas he tenido la oportunidad de visitar numerosas paradas y gimnasios Pokémon.

In my case, Pokémon GO has turned the simple act of walking into an adventure full of surprises. I find myself constantly looking for places of interest to visit and thus improve my level in the game. While I'm still a relatively new player and my level is low, the past few weeks I've had the opportunity to visit numerous Pokémon stops and gyms.

Cabe resaltar que este juego no requiere conocimientos profundos sobre la franquicia de Nintendo. Solo basta con tener la disposición para caminar, conocer nuevos amigos y defender a tus Pokémon de los ataques del Team Rocket. Sin duda alguna, Pokémon GO ha sido una fuente de gran diversión en el poco tiempo que lo he jugado. Su fama lo precede y, con justa razón, se ha convertido en una excelente manera de pasar el tiempo libre
