CATCH THE SYNDROME (DETERMINATION)
Let me indulge you a little with this story:
I met my better half through social media and we started dating some few days after. Weird right? It actually isn’t. He has a lot of qualities I love, not to boast, but he’s a unique one. One of the strongest traits that drew me towards him was his sense of determination. If anyone is more determined than that gentleman, then the person deserves a Grammy award. His zeal to be successful gave me a great sense of determination as well. I became eager to make it in future with him. He encouraged me in every way he could. He wanted to go through thick and thin to make it in life. It has not been easy for him. It is never easy but he has not given up. He is still as determined as he was the first day he started his own business after school. He has moments when he becomes frustrated when things are not going well but he never gives up.
I gave this story as a headliner to motivate us all. Our world is evolving daily. Day in, day out, we need to explore things we are passionate about and work towards them in order to become successful. We should be conscious of the fact that without determination, we cannot get to where we went to be. Other factors come into play: focus, perseverance, selflessness, among others. These work hand in hand with determination to lead us where we aim to be.
Things may be tough, very tough and you ask yourself questions about your existence on earth. That is how bad it gets sometimes. We have a lot of people with dreams and aspirations to make the world a better place to live in but they can’t seem to be determined enough. Determination is a personal choice. You need to make a resolution with yourself and task yourself. Push yourself as hard as you can go. Be inspired by the works of your mentors. See how hard they drive themselves to achieve their goals and follow in their stead. Don’t copy their style but create your own and see yourself flourish.
Be determined and you will get there.
