@socalsteemit I take a short hike and try some fishing at... Convict Lake!!
After hiking the Mammoth Crest I spent a few days in the Long Valley Caldera enjoying the hot springs while waiting out a rain storm. After a couple days I was getting restless so although it was still raining I decided to go out and take a hike around Convict lake and try some trout fishing there.

The hike was nice despite it raining on and off. I didn't catch (or even see) any fish, but I still really enjoyed checking out the lake. I'd been meaning to check it out for years now, and I finally did! Now I really want to get back out there sometime for some real backpacking and mountain climbing adventures! After enjoying my day at the lake, I headed south on Route 395 and started getting ready for my next adventure in the Eastern High Sierra!
Until next time...
I hope you have enjoyed this glimpse into
My California!!
