@thesocalhive I headed up to the mountains for a day of snowboarding at ... Bear Mountain!!
I once again headed up to Big Bear for another day of snowboarding fun, except this time I went to the Bear Mountain side of the resort!

I arrived at Bear Mountain just after they opened and it wasn't too packed so I was able to park in the main parking area. The snow coverage this year has been great and so just as I did on my trip to Snow Summit, I wanted to ride all over the whole mountain. So I started on the western side, doing laps on chair 9(Bear Mountain Express) and moved my way east throughout the day. 'Rip's run' was great and I did it a few times, 'Outlaw' was a bit icy, 'Gambler' was a bit rough, 'Park Run(Face)' was nice, but 'Showtime' was the best run on the westside. Steep, yet soft and smooth.

After a few runs on 'Showtime' I took the 'Silver Connection', which was a really nice run that doesn't get rode enough, over to chair 4. Chair 4 is probably my favorite chair at Bear Mountain. The runs are great and it gets very little traffic so there is almost never a lift line. So I spent most of the day there doing laps on 'Exhibition' and 'Ripcord'.

After riding chair 4 for awhile I headed back to the base of the mountain and caught chair 7(Access Express) up to chair 8. Chair 8 takes you to the highest point in the park and has the steepest run, 'Geronimo', and I spent the rest of the afternoon doing laps on it. Chair 8 gets a little more traffic than chair 4 and the snow wasn't quite as nice as it was over on 4, but Geronimo is a fun steep and fast run and the views from it are really great. After doing a bunch of laps there I headed back down 'Accelerator' and 'Easy Street' to the base of the mountain calling it a day.
