Woke to snow on the ground and sub-freezing temps. I really wish I could have seen the sunrise, or sunset. Today, the sun will be pointing a fairly huge coronal hole at us that will start bombarding the Earth with solar winds. There should be a fairly sharp warm-up within the next 24 hours. I would guess that temps should rise by 20-40 DEG. It is currently 26DEG here which would put us at about 46-66DEG by Monday. This extreme heating could increase the chances for random storms to pop up.
There is no way to say this is the last freeze, therefore, gardeners, I hope you doubled up on your seed this year. Here, we should be into our growing season, and it is all being delayed, or shortened. I hope this quick freeze kills some of these ticks and chiggers here, since the incredibly warm winter has allowed these pests to thrive since late February. I have yet to hear about the tornadoes, so I am thinking, maybe spring has shifted. Since the Sun is rising far more North, and the daylight hours have increased, you would think that the days, being longer, would be warmer.
The problem we are experiencing is that everything is weird! The UV is extreme, heating the surface of the Earth in extremes but not the air. We need a whole lot of, the missing, springtime solar storms. We do have some really large coronal holes which are showering us with UV, and no sunspots blowing out CMEs at us. Here in the Midwest we will be experiencing huge crop failures, already with this freeze and snow we are getting, fruit tree farmers are loosing their 2018 income. Last year we had a similar problem, how long can the farmers manage to take the financial hit.
On top of that our dear president came out yesterday and said that he is ok with a 20% drop in the market... ummmm 20% of 24,000 is an almost 5000 point drop. Mr. President, I hate to inform you of this, but, if the market drops 5000 points, the only way it will stabilize at that point is if all the countries with interest in our market would dump the majority of their funds into our market to keep it up. No trader will be in this market, not one, only to short it. Driving the market down. The fact is that with a 20% drop, many will loose their entire life savings including pensions and retirements.
Back to the original thought, farmers will loose their asses this year. This weather is changing the landscape of our entire way of life, and if there is not going to be a #poleshift, we can expect a good 10 more years of this craziness, due to the cycle of the Sun.
