I would be dishonest to say that the mistake I made yesterday didn't affect me. I was deeply shaken up from it and just can't believe I let my guard down. As I just posted, I have a lot of hope for this project and community, and perhaps let my love blind me in the moment.
I've been in crypto a long time and did something I never thought I'd do. I got scammed in one of the most obvious ways possible. But what do I do now? There are no refunds with Bitcoin. It's just gone. It's out of my hands.
I've lost a lot more in a single day playing poker, but I never felt as hurt as I did after this one. This wasn't a "bad beat", this was a painful, hard dose of reality getting slammed in my face.
After making a mistake as big as I did, I had no choice but to push away, let it go, and process what I did wrong. Through it, I learned a valuable lesson about how to better handle myself when my emotions are high, and in a weird way, maybe it's the best thing that can happen to me and my approach to Steemit.
I don't care anymore about the money I lost. I care solely about what I can do to add value to Steemit. Post rates have dropped, but I can actually write regularly, fairly easily. I also possess personal, life-instilled traits that I feel give me a reason to type. I am positive, approachable, and honest, while having a good enough grasp of topics that people I've met here enjoy reading. I've put all different parts of my life out there forever on the blockchain, because of this real bond I feel with all of you.
It's now time to work harder, push myself to make better content and interact with more people, while having more fun with you all each and everyday. We're all doing special things in our home on the Internet here, and someday we'll have a giant mansion of passion, creativity, and joy that represents all of us.
Giant thank you to @stellabelle for helping me out! I really appreciate all of the love I got from everyone on here! It's helped me bounce back far quicker than I ever thought I would. Your words of encouragement meant a lot to me.

Edit to add:
I forgot to publicly thank Jess for all the love and support she gives me. She really is a special woman and her compassion, empathy, and love mean the absolute world to me. What hurt me the most through all of this was losing our bitcoin. Her trust and faith in me has never wavered and I love her more than words can express.
