My wife and I just got back from the big aquarium here in the Salt Lake area. It seemed like the whole city had the same idea as well. It was probably the most crowded place I have been since before the pandemic.
We lasted about 15 minutes in there before we decided to leave. We bought season passes which ended up costing us around $130. So since we have memberships we scheduled a time to go there tomorrow morning right as the doors open. Sundays here aren’t busy for businesses because most of the state is at church, which leaves us heathens to have fun while the churchy people won’t bother us.
They have some pretty cool areas at the aquarium though. They have a whole section with plants and animals from South America. Like these poison dart frogs.
I want to get some of these and put their poison on some pins and stick people with them when they get too close to me.
The penguin habitat was super crowded but I managed to get under their water and get this cool shot.
There were many different parts of the aquarium we didn’t see today because it was so crowded. A lot of the cool animals were also hiding, like the sloths. Hopefully tomorrow they are out when my wife and I go so I can get some shots of them. Hopefully it isn’t a mad house in there either. It should be pretty empty when we first show up though. So we should have the place to ourselves for a while. Then I could get some pretty cool shots. I will be bringing my dslr with me so hopefully the shots turn out cool. I have been impressed with the iPhone picture quality so far.
