Getting ready for another harvest

break.png

My second Northern Lights is just a few days out from harvest and that will leave more room for the two seeds that I have ready. I put the Bubblegum strain in soil yesterday because it was finished germinating. I am still waiting on Blueberry to finish so it can go in its pot. Hopefully that seed isn't a dud, but it is starting to look like it. I will give it another two days to show some signs of germination, but if not, I will just toss it out and try again.

I added some support stakes for my two older plants. My critical purple is getting ready to start flowering and I want to make sure that it is well supported in case its branches get a bit too heavy. I didn't trim it up as much as I did the two northern lights, and I am wondering if I will get more yield from it. I think I have cut like 8 massive fan leaves off it and that is it, but as fast I cut one off, it seems like two more sprout out.

I am looking forward to this bubblegum strain. It is going to be cool to have several different strains growing at once so I can see the difference in leave structure and buds.

I thought that I would have like another week for this lady to fatten up a bit more, but the there are a lot more milky trichomes than clear ones. I have even seen some of the amber ones already, so I think I will be harvesting this one in a few days. Good thing the last couple waterings were pure water and no nutrients, so I can say that I am already flushing it.

These buds look a lot smaller than the previous NL plant I had, but these ones are a lot more dense. They also have about twice the amount of trichomes.

Last night I smoked some of the first batch I harvested. It was only about week or so after harvesting and beginning its cure, but it was still a pretty good smoke. The body effects of northern lights is pretty amazing. My son had some of it with me and he said that his leg and hip felt perfect after doing it and he could probably go running. That is pretty good since a few days ago we were in the hospital thinking that he had broke something. Luckily he just had some pretty bad bruising in the muscles.

Well that is gonna be it for this weeks grow log. Hopefully in the next installment, I will have some pictures of the critical purple flowers.

It won't be much longer until this lady is in full flower mode. I should also have some nice sprout shots of my bubblegum strain poking up out of the soil. See you all in the next one. Stay awesome!
