It's about time

Well my flowers in front of my house decided they were going to be late bloomers this year. I don't know what is up with them and why they decided to take so long. We have been having some funky weather here lately, so I guess the plants know what is really going on.

It has been a lot cooler this summer than normal and we have had a lot more rain than normal as well. I am not sure what that is going to mean for winter this year, but hopefully the winter won't be too bad. This past winter we had a ton of snow up in the mountains and all of our water levels are higher than normal. One of our ski resorts here is still open.

I took these pictures with my old Russian lens. It is a Helios 44-2. The lens is a full manual lens with awesome glass in it and can be picked up pretty cheap on Ebay. It is a 58mm f/2 with some crazy depth of field that makes it seem more like a 1.2 with how it blurs the background.
