Hot Stuff

pageBreak.png

Earlier today I saw a commercial for Taco Bell's new Steak Reaper Ranch Supreme Nacho Fries and they looked delicious. Now, I love Mexican food, so I headed to Taco Bell because there isn't anything that can match the authentic taste like Taco Bell can, lol.

When I got to Taco Bell, I ordered the new fries and they were pretty good. They weren't spicy like a Carolina Reaper though. Either that or I am immune to spice now ever since I did the Death Nut Challenge a few months ago.

Oh, you say you have never heard of the Death Nut? It is the hottest peanut that humanity has ever known.

I did the challenge with my older brother before he moved to Japan and it was a pretty bad time. For the challenge you have to eat 5 sets of peanuts, 1 set at a time. Each set gets hotter and hotter, up until you reach the Death Nut, which is 13,000,000 Scoville Units of pure heat. If you aren't sure how hot that is, you may as well dump hot lava in your mouth and drink it and let it sit in your guts.

Once the heat leaves your mouth, it is still in your throat, head, stomach, and then the next day, you get round two. It is a gift that keeps on giving. If any of you reading this think you can survive the challenge, you should head over to the Death Nut website and order yourself a pack. For $15 you can torture your taste buds like I did. Or you can pop open the packs of peanuts at a bar, drop the peanuts in the stash of peanuts at the bar and sit back and wait for the show. Either way, it will be a good time.
