Rusty has always been a very curious cat since the day we brought him home. I haven't had time to get our Christmas tree up this year yet, but last year when it was up, Rusty was fascinated by the lights.

My wife and I are planning on putting the tree up on Christmas Eve. That way, it isn't up too long for the cats to eat things off of it again. A few years ago, when the dogs were just little puppies, they broke out of their kennels and ate all the Christmas decorations off the tree. So now we try and limit the amount of time that the tree is up because all the animals seem drawn to it.
Rusty has even tried to climb to the top of the tree because we started putting most of the decorations up higher. So what do your pets do around the holidays? Do you get them any presents too? I usually end up getting the dogs some chew toys and get the cats some cat nip and some other things to play with.
