There are so many cool memories from my Civil War trip a few years ago. One of the coolest parts of it was the Battle of Resaca reenactment. There were so many people dressed up in the old military uniforms from both sides.
I took so many pictures during those two days. I have been going through photos that I have never edited and I am trying to give them more of an aged look to make them look like they were taken during the 1800s. I feel like an aged black and white would be fitting.
I didn't give these shots a traditional black and white look, but instead, the blacks have somewhat of a faded look to make them appear like they were photos that have aged over time. I added some grain to the images as well to try and sell the look.
I love doing documentary style photographs and I can't wait to be able to begin traveling again so I can do more portraits like this and tell stories. I hope that you enjoyed these images and they helped to transport you to a different time.
