This year has had its ups and downs for our family, but this post is going to be mainly about my achievements on chain.
As crypto values were continuing to fall drastically last year, I began to power down my account so that I could purchase various cryptos. Since I began here on Steemit, I had purchased Steem and many different prices, ranging from $1.50 to $4.65.
When I had completely powered down, I was left with around 135 Steem in my account. I was using the Steem, which was then valued at around $0.40 to $0.35 to purchase LTC at nearly $30 and ETH at around $85. As the prices of LTC and ETH began to shoot back up, I then began to flip most of it back into Steem.
So as of right now I have 21,150.203 SP in my main account. I was hoping to have 25k SP in there by the end of the year. I am still going to be trying to reach that number over the next two weeks, so hopefully Santa can bring me some in my stocking. I've got some more of my Gods Unchained cards up for sale on the markets and if those sell, I will be able to reach 25k without any problems.
One of the biggest achievements of the year was helping to get the Creative Coin tribe set up. Photography and Art has helped me a lot over the years in dealing with everything I have been through. It is nice to have a way to reward other creatives for passions and their creativity.
With Creative Coin, we have partnered with several different communities here on the platform to combine our efforts to reward people for their awesome contributions that they are making here on the blockchain and recognition for their efforts. We are also looking at making new ways within the Creative Coin tribe to make it even better and looking forward to how we can utilize NFTs within Steem Engine.
We had some new additions to the family this year. We rescued two little baby kittens and we instantly fell in love with them. Rusty was the main one that stole our heart from the beginning.
@derangedvisionsRusty was a runt and we had to bottle feed him so he could get his strength back. Our daughter named him after my best friend Scott that had passed away and had become like an uncle to her.
@derangedvisionsKeiichi is my son's cat and was named after my son's favorite Japanese drift racing driver. He has a very different personality than Rusty, but is equally as cuddly.
@derangedvisionsTraveling is one of my favorite things to do and it is awesome that Steemfest gave me the opportunity to do that. Steemfest was an amazing time for my wife and I and like I said in previous posts, seeing my wife genuinely smile was my favorite part of being in Thailand with her.

When I started the year, I was hoping to have 50k SP in my account by the end of the year, but as the year progressed, I realized that may not be possible so I reduced it to 25k. I also started purchasing large amounts of tribe tokens and staking them to my different accounts so for contests and curating.
Technically, I wouldn't really call any of this a "failure". It is more of a minor set back because I will reach 50k SP at some point, just not in the time frame that I had set at the beginning of the year and when I made that goal, I had no intentions on any of the tribe stuff. So it is actually a blessing in disguise because I have been able to do more to help other across the platform now in terms of rewarding great content.
I've got big plans for 2020 here on the platform. I believe in the Steem Blockchain and I feel that 2019 was a great year to grow your account. We should see some amazing things in 2020. Thanks for taking the time to check out my post. I wish you the best of luck in 2020.
