Well this morning is going to suck. The power went out at about 330 this morning and they are saying it won’t be fixed until noon.
So my wife and I decided to get up at like 545 and head out for our daily walk. It is much cooler out at this time of day so it was pretty nice. The air is so nasty right now though because of all the wildfires going on. We can barely see the mountains because the smoke is so thick.
We did see some pretty cool things on our walk though. Like these bees that were sleeping on a flower. I’d never seen bees sleeping before. I touched them to see if they were alive and they just moved a little bit and went right back to sleep.
Then we saw the little family of ducks that lives in the canal near our walking path. Every year there is a new set of baby ducks and we have been seeing them here for the last 5 years or so. The first ducks were some of our daughter’s friend’s ducks that she let go and each year they come back here and have babies.
Then I saw this tree thats seed pods look like dangly peppers. I wanted to eat them.
Hopefully our power comes back on soon because it is supposed to be near 107 degrees here later today and it is going to heat up pretty quickly. I just hope that my plants won’t have any problems. I may take them on a field trip and put them outside for a while to get some sun.
