We can't wait for Steemfest!
So my wife and I just got back from a Thai restaurant for lunch today. It was one that we had never tried before and it was amazing. One of the reasons that we are most excited for Steemfest this year is because Thailand has some of the best food in the world.
We got Tom Yum, which is probably one of the most famous of all Thai foods. It is a soup that has flavors of lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, fresh Thai chilies, and fresh lime juice. All of these flavors combine to make one of the most delicious dishes ever.
We also got a dish called Nom Tak, which is also called Thai Beef Waterfall salad. I have never eaten this dish before and I had just recently learned about it. One of the people my wife and I have been talking to about Thailand spent a lot of time there and said that he judges the Thai restaurants based on their menu and if they don't have Nom Tak on their menu, he won't even eat their because they aren't an authentic Thai restaurant.
This was probably the most flavorful meat I have ever had in my life. It came with sticky rice, lettuce and the meat and they said you are supposed to eat it by hand. You grab some rice, some meat and then a few pieces of lettuce and then stick it in your mouth and let all of the flavors mix together. My wife and I can't wait to eat this in Thailand where it is supposed to be even better.
We even got to practice some of the Thai language that we have been learning in preparation for Steemfest. This Steemfest is going to be an epic adventure for everyone that attends. I just saw that the venue for the first day had changed to a new location and it looks even more amazing.
My wife and I can't wait to see all of those that are attending Steemfest this year. It is going to be awesome! See you all in about 37 days!!
