Wednesday was magical for my family. We have been having a pretty rough past few weeks and it all seemed to have started during the recent Mercury retrograde. We weren't the only ones that had a rough time during the retrograde either.
One of my wife's coworkers was in a terrible accident in North Carolina. He was visiting family and his brother in law was getting married. After the wedding reception, they got in a golf cart and my wife's coworker was driving the bride and groom from the reception to their Air BNB. They were on a road where the speed limit was 25mph and a drunk driver hit them from behind in a truck going 65mph. The bride was killed in the crash and the two men had life threatening injuries, but they are doing better now, but have a very long road to recovery.
We also know of several other people in our circle of friends that lost someone during the past month. Needless to say, it has been a pretty rough time for a lot of people.
After the storm on Wednesday, we went outside and saw that there was a massive rainbow in the sky. As we got out, we saw that there was another rainbow forming in the sky as well.
It was still raining, so we danced out in the rain together and just celebrated the moment. Rainbows hold very significant meaning to our family. This rainbow really felt like it was the universe just letting us know that we are headed on the right path and that things will get better.
It is a bit weird for me to think like this considering that I grew up in a pretty strict religion that really discouraged this kind of thinking. But over the past couple years, I have been getting more into astrology and spirituality and it all just makes so much more sense to me.
Our daughter is moving out of the house in the next couple weeks and this sign has really helped all of us be more comfortable with the decision. We know that this is the path that her life needs to take and she is going to thrive.
One of the coolest parts about this double rainbow was how it brought so many people together. While we were outside, we saw so many people stop and just admire what was going on in front of them. I think a lot of people needed this from the universe. Facebook was flooded with images of these rainbows from people all over the valley.
I sent my son some of the pictures we took during it and he sent me some of the ones that he took. It was cool knowing that even though he isn't at home living with us anymore, he stopped everything he was doing and we were all looking at the same thing together. It is a pretty magical to think that so many people stopped their busy lives and just took some time out of their day to appreciate this beautiful spectacle in front of them.
The universe is magical and sends us messages all the time. Be sure to take the time to go out and touch the earth so that you can receive those messages. If you are going through a hard time, I hope that it gets better for you.
