We had some vacation credits that were going to expire soon because we have not been able to travel because of the pandemic, so yesterday afternoon, my wife booked us a stay at Bear Lake for the weekend. This place was all booked up, except for their penthouse suite, which is a massive three bedroom. Since our credits were going to expire anyways, we booked the penthouse.
This place is pretty nice and is basically a large apartment and is fully furnished and has a full kitchen. So this morning we went shopping to get some snacks and food for the weekend.
We really don’t have any plans for the weekend other than just relaxing and spending time together. We got some burgers to grill for lunch while we watch the Raiders football game that is starting in a few hours. Hopefully the Raiders win their game this week so they can stay in the running for the Super Bowl, but I doubt they will make it that far. They have had a pretty crazy season this year with everything going on with their team. Last week’s game was amazing though, so hopefully today’s game is as exciting.
The two downstairs rooms are decent size, but the master bedroom upstairs is really nice. Faith is taking a nap up there right now, so I won’t get a picture of it. It is pretty similar to the other rooms, just quite larger. I had a hard time sleeping up there last night because it was a lot hotter than our room at home that is in the basement of our home.
I have never been here to this area, but my wife and daughter have been here during the summer and they loved it. We will need to come here when it is warmer because right now it is so cold and I don’t want to be outside at all.
We did see some deer this morning on the way to the store and a lot more deer along the road as we were driving.
I am going to be trying to keep up with curating while we are away, but the internet service here is pretty spotty. We will spend the next two days relaxing though. We got in late last night after about a three hour drive, so a little bit of relaxation will be nice. Now, it is time to hit the hot tub before the game starts. Have a good weekend everyone.
