Buenos Noches!

Today has been so busy for me with things to do here and there. Feels good to be on my keypads though.

Before I go further, I want to say thank you to readthisplease@readthisplease because you were the cement to my inspiration. In a post of his(link below), he gave highlights to my struggles in the past weeks.

WRITER'S BLOCK: DEFINITION

What is writer's block? According to the Oxford English Dictionary, writer's block is the condition of being unable to think of what to write or how to proceed with writing.

I have been experiencing that. My own personal definition?

Writer's block is the devil's spawn. It's the effective inability to take information and reproduce it. It's total uselessness in the upperstair area. Every minute of it is total stress, heartache and a little (if not a lot of) depression.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

To be frank, I wouldn't wish writer's block on anyone. Frankly, when I hear of writer's block, I think it's just something that at most a day or two, it's broken. I never thought it would go on for days, weeks and sometimes months. Someone told me he couldn't come up with a single thing for two years after being into the publishing business for over a decade. In fear, I asked how long he thought mine would go on for and he said, "it depends". On what? I don't know.

SIDE EFFECTS

The side effects can range from mild to extremely toxic. This is something I've experienced. However, our experiences may all vary and as such you may or may have not had a taste on the listed below:

• Stress: the extreme mental fatigue that comes with writer's block is no child's play. It's worse than having sprinted 6,000km nonstop. This stress may manifest in your thoughts or actions towards that piece your working on or in my case, towards the daily production you create. You find yourself drifting away because just the thought of it gives you a headache.

• Production: writer's block can render you ineffective when it comes to matters of creative writing. We depend on our imagination and ability to play with words. Writing heavily depends on your mixing/selling skills. Not being able to mix with a "vengeance" can be detrimental to a writer's health.

• Inadequacy: the feeling of inadequacy becomes a second skin. Your previous achievements don't matter and what you begin to see is the failure and how much it would destroy you. This feeling leaves us in a state of desperation for any form of escape. This would then result in creating half-baked articles/write-ups that were better off not written. This would only do more damage as it heavily daints the reputation of the writer.

• Depression: I'm sure writer's have experienced a little or maybe even more of this side effects. Depression is a mental state of total– what do I call it?– Low. It's total "bogusness"(I have no idea what that means).

• Recognition: this part...is crucial. It makes as much as it breaks. When a writer doesn't get the attention or the time of day they think they deserve (or perhaps get rejected constantly), it turns to something more. Negatively.

RECOVERY PLAN...?

Frankly, everyone is different and as such work in diverse ways. What would work for A may not work for B. Yes I did come up with a recovery plan and at this junction, I want to say a big S/O to iskafan@iskafan. You rock girl. She was a part of the inspiration I got to this post.

My first thought in a recovery plan was finding a niche. But on Hive? I don't think that's possible. Well not for me anyway. Besides, I like to dip my hands into a little of everything.

My recovery plan was to start at the very beginning and dreemsteem@dreemsteem challenge is the perfect angle to work it. Which is why I am so glad and bless you my sister.

HOW DO I ENACT MY PLAN?

Resetting goals, inhaling more information, engagement 101(i may have fallen behind) and getting a partner or more to be accountable too.

(Iskafan if you're reading this, remember that group we were supposed to make? How about we be accountable to each other? Lol. You are also a part of my recovery plan.)

Getting involved once again in meetings and all those stuffs I did as a Newbie. That's my recovery plan. I started by giving myself a well deserved accolade for accomplishing previous goals. It gave me the boost I needed.

WHAT I SAY ABOUT WRITER'S BLOCK TO YOU...

I'm not going to tell anyone that all they have to do is relax and breathe (frankly, that's is where all this long story is going) but I would tell you that it won't last forever unless you let it.

I found out that confrontation isn't always lethal. I have been avoiding the Leofinance community because I felt not "adequate" enough to continue. But, last night, I swallowed my pride and ache in my chest and went on ahead. Felt a lot better after. So, confront your fear.

EXTRA...

I have decided to take it one step at a time, one day at a time. Thank you for your precious time.
