Monster Girl.

She is supposed to be a myth. The Impossible. They said she had wild, untamed hair, callous eyes, obtrusive skin, and appalling breath. They said she was a reject, the creature of infinite desolation. They said she hides away from the light, preys on the weak. A creature of doom. An abomination.

But…

What if I told you, Monster Girl is not a girl at all. She is not a Her. She is a They. Monster Girl is a conglomerate of women from different parts of the world with different life stories and yet, one goal.

Their hair is an expression of femininity. Their eyes are windows to their soul, a mirror the weak dare not look upon. They are comfortable in their skin and their breath isn’t appalling, their words are… but only to those who cannot handle the truth. Who find their free spirit and parlance vulgar.

Monster Girl is NOT a reject. They have refused to succumb to society’s rule and view of them. They are not desolated. They made a world of their own deep within the shadows. The darkness that was made to consume them. They became one with the darkness, they danced with the darkness and the darkness honoured them for it and recognised that they are the light.

Monster Girl is a collection of stories, a memoir of dances and prances with danger. The women who have been labelled as unfit, unstable, bitter, and angry because they understand how the world works - how it should work. They are comfortable being who they are, they welcome their vulnerability for in it lies their greatest strength. They are fully conscious and aware of their superpower. They do not need to be told or reminded that they are WOMAN!
