Why This Song
You see, one thing is to be alive, and another is to stay alive. But beyond that, it鈥檚 a blessing to be alive and still be relevant鈥攖o have purpose and meaning in life.
When I think about it, I realize how many people are alive but no longer themselves:
Some are lying in hospital beds, battling sickness.
Some are in a coma, unable to speak or move.
Some have lost their way and don鈥檛 even know what they are doing anymore.
Others are wandering the streets, not clothed, not cared for, and far from what they once were
But here I am, alive, healthy, and able to do the things I love. That is not by my strength or power鈥攊t鈥檚 a gift from God, a privilege I don鈥檛 take for granted.
Every day, I feel joy, gratitude, and thankfulness in my heart because God has kept me and my family alive and well.
This song is my way of saying thank you to God for His love, protection, and mercy.
