Depart from the rambunctious urban places, those cacophonous cities of chaos, bustling noise, and enter the winter wood. There is perhaps no greater contrast. Here, there is an absolute silence, where even the deadliest storms perform their assault in peace. Stop and listen. All you hear is your own breath and heart. Consider your path in life. Where might you place your next print in the cold, dry snow? Wander and wonder here. As night falls and the air grows colder, the wolves serenade the moon, and the deer move stealthily undetected at a distance from you. Sit by the crackling glow of a fire, and peer into its ancient glow as you interpret the hallucinogenic swirls of smoke spiraling out of the circle of stones. Feel the wildness of this somber place. Sleep in the hostile elements and wake in the chill. Survive here. You will think differently upon your return to modern living. -Denny Ducet
