My perspective actually comes from the reverse of the guy in the video's... I'm a Danish national living in the USA.

I think the US was less "broken" when I first arrived here in 1981 for University, and things have steadily gotten worse since then; the inequity has definitely increased considerably. Meanwhile, in 1981 Denmark was not really as welcoming of the "entrepreneurial spirit" which was part of the reason I came here... you were expected to "conform" a lot more, meaning you either got a respectable private job, or you became a civil servant in some capacity. That has since changed, and entrepreneurship has become a lot more highly valued.

As I look at the state of things now, I feel increasingly grateful that I stubbornly held on to my Danish passport and citizenship because there may soon come a time when my wife (who's a US citizen) and I simple decide we have had enough of it and will head to Denmark for our "golden years."
