My parents were rather dedicated collectors of things... we just don't have the space as is, and we're going to move to a smaller place in the coming years, so we have quite a bit that needs to be sent on its way. Besides, our kids are not really interested, so we are slowly thinning things out ahead of a lifestyle change in 4-5 years.
