Transhumanism?

I'm less worried about the "people vs. technology" equation than I am about the "people vs. PROFIT" equation. And not in a conspiracy theory sort of way, but simply from the angle at considering that the root purpose of a corporate entity is "to maximize profits." Nothing else. There is no human accountability at the root of that tenet.
