I actually had a period of day trading, back in the 90's... had a bit of money, and exploring that new frontier of online trading. So yeah, I can relate! I mostly did mine on my knack for pattern recognition and whereas I mostly came out pretty even, I occasionally hit a few zingers.

I don't like gambling, either. That's why the whole "When Moon?" approach to the blockchain/crypto world is really annoying to me... I'm more about "put in the research and work, get rewarded."
